The Global School Course (GSC) is a junior and senior high school program that builds upon the foundation established at Seirei Christopher Elementary School.
Seirei Christopher Junior and Senior High School offers two distinct programs: the Global School Course and the Integrated Junior & Senior High School Course. For details on the Integrated Junior & Senior High School Course, please visit website here.

Strong English Foundation

In the Global School Course (GSC), students engage in an inquiry-based curriculum where subjects such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, music, art, and physical education are taught in English by competent English-speaking teachers who specialize in each subject area. Approximately 65% of weekly class time is conducted in English. Through this immersive approach to learning, students will acquire advanced English language skills essential for success in a globalized world.

International Baccalaureate DP Candidate School

Seirei Christopher High School Global School Course (GSC) is a Candidate School* for the Diploma Programme (DP). This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that GSC believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization can offer the four IB programs: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP). Being a candidate school does not guarantee authorization as an IB World School. For more information about the International Baccalaureate Organization and the IB programs, please visit the website (http://www.ibo.org).

Founding Philosophy

Seirei Gakuen takes its guiding philosophy, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself,’ from Mark 12:31. Since its founding, our school, a Christian school, has always aimed to nurture people in knowing God and practicing the love of Jesus Christ. The words ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ express how we should respond to and value others. We promote our educational activities with this spirit in mind and as the foundation of all our school activities.

Educational Policy

We aims to instill in students a principled and loving international perspective founded on the Christian tenet of “love your neighbor,” so that they can actively participate in promoting world peace and human welfare. Based on the belief that reverence and love for God and humanity are important values throughout the ages, we will empower learners with knowledge, skills, and interest to achieve their full potential through a holistic approach to instruction and assessment. Students will grow in love and character in the service of others through their chosen future career paths.

Seirei Gakuen's Mission

Seirei Gakuen earnestly hopes that its graduates will embody the spirit of “love your neighbor,” which is the school's founding philosophy, and dedicate themselves to serving people around the world who are in need of assistance. The Global School Course (GSC) was established with this aspiration as its foundation.
